Practically no rain for three months means everything is very low. Not too many places where you'd have to get out and walk around. I'll occasionally get in up to my chest to go after hung lure.

You can see with Winter and Spring posts, I get in the kayak for transportation a lot when the water is up. Actually, that's a year's worth of trophy bass in a single month. I'm curious about the "larger and longer flows" you're now fishing. Are these small rivers generally shallow enough to continuously wade or do you often have to travel along the bank and pick your spots for wading? Good luck with the streak. There are some nice fish them, some dumb fish in them, occasionally a large bass, the action can be consistent all day long. Action. I've tried to stay out of the small creeks and concentrate on larger and longer flows. This helps me stay in the 18"'s and 20"'s and not top out in the 16-17"'s as you often BThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00130885596569505778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8159457880557538756.post-80266282625308938572013-09-01T22:40:45.863-04:002013-09-01T22:40:45.863-04:00Hey BT, just wondering if you fished any small flo...Hey BT, just wondering if you fished any small flows compareable to some over my way. Right now on my fav 2 creeks flow is 13cfs and 21cfs right now. There are a some big smallies on these flows just not very many. With 2 years in a row of low water hopefully they got off some good spawns. You ever use any of Jonn Grahams swim jigs? Excellent big smallie bait!
